Palmer Ridge High School is a full-service educational facility located in Monument, Colorado, approximately 30 miles south of the Denver Metropolitan area. Structural Consultants, Inc. provided full structural design and documentation services for this project, through construction administration. Serving approximately 1,500 students this 240,000 square foot partial 2 story facility includes space specifically designed and dedicated to music, theater, drama and arts in addition to traditional classroom and athletic program elements. The state-of-the-art theater seats approximately 600 people.

Constructed on a challenging sloping site, the primarily structural steel and concrete superstructure includes an enclosed, elevated pedestrian bridge to link the individual campus buildings across the site. The architectural theme for the project utilized exposed structural elements to enhance the learning environment and to provide a more sustainable institution.The project was designed and constructed in a fast-track approach to allow for an early construction start to meet an aggressive completion date. Designed and constructed in approximately 16 months from start to finish.
