Structural Consultants, Inc. served as Structural engineer-of-record for the two Medical Office Buildings on the Sky Ridge Medical Center Campus providing full engineering and construction administration services. The Aspen building is a 4 story facility with approximately 118,000 square feet of floor space and provides for physicians of various specialties, a pharmacy, lab, and the Sky Ridge Cancer Center. The Conifer building is similarly a 4 story building and contains approximately 105,000 square feet of floor space and serves an Ambulatory Surgery Center in addition to offices of physicians and specialty centers.

The main structural systems for both facilities include composite steel floor structures and steel braced frame construction for the lateral resisting systems. The foundation systems were specifically designed for the highly expansive soils on the site. The exterior cold formed steel stud framing design was provided as part of the core and shell structural design and was fully coordinated with the architectural intent and theme.
